Add the coaches at Cal and Stanford to those who don't like the regional format for qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships - either in its current four-meet setup, or the two-meet system that is on the table for next year.

"It's ridiculous," Cal coach Tony Sandoval told Jeff Faraudo of the Oakland Tribune. "I don't know what the NCAA is thinking."

"I hate it," Stanford coach Edrick Floreal told Faraudo. "I don't think it's the right thing for the sport."
