SPRINGFIELD - It was probably fitting that the baseball ended up somewhere near first base, in a shortstop's glove. And that Matt Myrmo had to make the tag twice before the last out was recorded.

Top-ranked Thurston rallied to beat No. 2 West Albany 4-3 on Friday afternoon, but nothing was assured until a frantic, final rundown.
