Fuzzy Mathematical Programming and Fuzzy Matrix Games studies the extension of mathematical programming and matrix game theory to a fuzzy environment. Before introducing fuzzy sets, the authors begin with the usual environment, which is called crisp in fuzzy-set literature to distinguish it from a fuzzy environment. They introduce linear and quadratic programming as well as matrix and bi-matrix games. The authors establish equivalence between a two-person, zero-sum matrix game and a pair of primal-dual, linear-programming problems, as well as between a two-person, nonzero-sum (bi-matrix) game and a quadratic-programming problem.
