Adidas kicked off 2009 with its uber-cool House Party campaign for Adidas Originals, which was dripping with celebrities. Last month it launched its Every Team Needs The Spark campaign, starring Barcelona midfielder Lionel Messi and football legend Zinedine Zidane. The campaign, inspired by gritty graphic novel films like Sin City, 300 and Watchmen, uses the comic-book style to reveal the secret behind what made Messi one of the greatest football players in the world.

Both campaigns have been huge hits online, attracting millions of views across YouTube and Adidas.tv, the sportswear brand's global video hub.
