Goodyear recognized as 'trustworthy' company

AKRON--Goodyear has been recognized by Forbes and Fortune magazines as one of America's most trustworthy large companies and most admired companies, respectively.

The Akron-based tire maker came in sixth place on Forbes' March 27 list of trustworthy companies with market capitalization of at least $5 billion.

Earlier, Goodyear made Fortune's list of most admired firms in the motor vehicle parts industry based on a corporate survey that questioned more than 3,700 people from 622 companies in 65 separate industries.

The Forbes list is based on Audit Integrity Inc.'s research and evaluation of corporate practices among U.S. companies.

BFS signs multi-year deal for hockey sponsorships

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire L.L.C. (BFNT) and Bridgestone Firestone Canada Inc. (BFCA) recently signed a global multi-year partnership with three major hockey organizations.

Bridgestone will be the official tire of the National Hockey League (NHL), National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) and the Hockey Hall of Fame.
