Corporate interests and their powerful political allies continue to press their anticonsumer agenda with distortions and outright lies in an unprecedented campaign to tuna the American people against their own civil justice system.

President Bush is leading the assault, aiming at his favorite target: medical malpractice litigation. But there seems to be no one in the administration who ensures that what the president says about the malpractice "crisis" is true--or considers the possibility that a negligence claim against a doctor might have merit. To this administration, every med-mal lawsuit is a 'Junk lawsuit."
