CASE FACTS: Nurse Catherine Burke instructed Barbara Cross to have a Ct scan of her abdomen/pelvis done in order to ascertain the cause of pain in that area. Cross underwent a CT scan on November 13 at Mid Rockland Imaging. The abdominal/pelvic scan revealed a "moderate sized left renal mass, most suspicious for primary renal neoplasm. On November 14, Nurse Burke informed Cross that rite results of the scan showed a mass on her left kidney that was approximatley seven to eight centimeters in diameter, and advised Cross to see a urologist, Dr. John Giela.
