Spencer Butte historic photos sought by group

The Lane Council of Governments is seeking historic photos taken at Spencer Butte. The photos will be used for park planning projects to help document past recreational uses and changes to the Butte's vegetation over time.

Ideal photos would include people standing at the Spencer Butte summit or hiking the trails, wildflowers and wildlife, and views of the surrounding landscape from the summit. Photos taken before 1970 are preferred. Originals will be scanned and returned, and the owners will be credited for the donation.
