David Doughty

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for David Robert Doughty of Springfield, who died in a car accident on April 24. He was 65.

He was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Sacramento to Darrell and Mary Jones Doughty. He married Susan Lipski on May 1, 1971, in Concord, Calif. She died Feb. 7, 2005.

Doughty graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in Pleasant Hill, Calif., in 1961. He served in the Army from 1961 to 1964. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1966 until his retirement in 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Doughty of Arlington, Mass., and a sister, Barbara McMahon of Springfield.

Inurnment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Cascade Hospice.

Charles Eddings

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at New Life Church in Springfield for Charles Andrew Eddings of Springfield,?who died April 26 of a heart attack. He was 82.

He was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Hickory Flat, Miss., to James and Rosa Mae Thompson Eddings. He married Clara Wallace in 1948 in Leggett, Calif. She died Jan. 3, 2001.

Eddings was a high school graduate. He served in the Army in Japan during World War II. He was a retired minister who also had worked in the logging industry.

Survivors include three daughters, Molly Hawkins of Eugene, Rosie Fredrickson of Prineville and Susan Brougher of Springfield; two sons, Charles II of Willamina and James...
