Eugene Marathon to affect LTD weekend bus routes

A number of Lane Transit District bus routes will be detoured or will experience delays during the Eugene Marathon on Saturday and Sunday, the district said.

On Saturday, between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.:

Route 1 Campbell Center and Route VRC/Coburg Road: These routes will not serve the Campbell Center area north of Fifth Avenue between Mill Street and Pearl Street. Regular service will resume about 9 a.m.

Route 51 Santa Clara: This route will not serve Washington Street between Fifth Avenue and First Avenue. Regular service will resume about 9 a.m.

On Sunday, beginning at 7 a.m.:

EmX will not serve EmX Stations between High Street Station and Walnut Station and will travel from the Eugene Station along Interstate 105 and Interstate 5 to the Lexington Station in Glenwood and to the Springfield Station. Buses to Eugene from the Springfield Station will provide service to the McVay Station and will continue on to I-5 and I-105 to the Eugene Station. Regular service will resume about 11 a.m. However, delays can be expected.
