Arts council director to lead First Friday Art Walk

The First Friday Art Walk begins at 5:30 p.m. at Studio Tre Amiche, 160 E .Broadway, with host Douglas Beauchamp, executive director of the Lane Arts Council.

The free walking tour of downtown art spaces stops for about 15 minutes at each venue. Artists and gallery owners talk about the work that is on display and many galleries have refreshments.

Studio Tre Amiche features the works of Rogena Degge, Patsy Hand and Kathryn Hutchinson, who produce etchings, monotypes, art prints and works in other media.

Other stops on the tour include:

Goldworks Jewelry Art Studio, 169 E. Broadway, showing the collection of Judith Nakhnikian's most recent paintings and drawings.

Fenario Gallery, 881 Willamette St., which debuts a group show featuring the incendiary side of art by more than a dozen artists from all over the nation.
