Eugene voters last fall approved a $35.9 million bond measure to pay for street repairs.

Now the price of those civic improvements has become clear: Eugene property owners will pay 11 percent more in city property taxes, with most of the increase going to the street bond measure.

For a median assessed home of $157,883, the property taxes dedicated to city government will rise $136, to $1,354, according to the city's proposed budget presented Wednesday by City Manager Jon Ruiz.
