Moody's Investors Service said today that it has assigned a backed rating of A1 to the EUR1,000 million drawdown of bonds of Alpha Bank A.E of Greece (the "Issuer"), rated C-/A2/Prime-1. This drawdown of bonds issued under the bank's existing EUR30 billion EMTN Programme is explicitly covered by a Greek government guarantee.
