Jeff Hollis went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Shaun Boehm was 2-for-4 as North Eugene defeated South Eugene 4-2 in a nonleague baseball game at Civic Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Garrett Chappell was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Axemen, and Jake Neel went 2-for-3.

North scored three times in the second inning and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth. South scored both of its runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Springfield 8, Cottage Grove 5: Zady Navarro went 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Johnny Dougherty had two doubles and an RBI to lead the Millers on the road.
