Four candidates are running for three, 4-year seats on the Volo village board.

Incumbents Carol Porter, a Realtor with Prudential Preferred Properties, and LeRoy Wegener, a retired homeowner, are on the ballot with planning board member Stephen Henley, a professional community banker and former Vernon Hills trustee, and Chrissi Steffani-Wardlow, a payroll manager and member of the Volo zoning board.

Development of Volo and the buildup of Route 12 in town are the most important issues facing Volo in the next four years. The board will also have to deal with the loss of sales tax in the current economic climate.

Following are candidates responses to questions posed by the Daily Herald.
