When Booker Thomas walks through one of his health clinics, he feels good. That's because the CEO and president of HealthNet Inc. sees physicians and nurses tending to a group of people in Indianapolis that probably wouldn't receive health care if it weren't for HealthNet.

"More and more people just don't have the money to pay for health care because it has become so costly today. Many people will put aside taking care of themselves for other priorities in their life," Thomas said.

"The majority of people we see are working people out to try to make a decent living for themselves and their families, but their job doesn't provide health care coverage, and they just can't afford it."
