Article Excerpt Detroit real estate developer Peter Cummings says he'll soon be able to walk to offices of his second "job'' at The Max.
Cummings, chairman emeritus of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, is moving into a condominium called The Ellington at Woodward and Mack avenues, across from Orchestra Place.
The Ellington, a five-story complex with 56 units ranging from $160,000 to $300,000, will open in May, Cummings said, with 13,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Cummings is president of Ram Development Co., which is building The Ellington in a joint venture with The Sterling Group.
