TUPELO -- Despite the economic slowdown, Toyota's indefinitely delayed plans to build an automotive assembly plant nearby and retail challenges impacting downtown Tupelo, the master-planned Fairpark District is continuing to develop--though perhaps not as community leaders originally envisioned.

"Fairpark has evolved into a office/residential development with a few destination restaurants and a Hilton Garden Inn that is doing well and currently expanding," said Kelly Cofer, CCIM, principal of The Retail Coach, LLC, in Tupelo.
