In November, Indianapolis hosted the Fifth Annual Conference of the International Bullying Prevention Association, with researchers and educators from around the world in attendance. The choice of city was particularly apt, because a few months earlier, the Indiana Supreme Court became the first state high court to hear a case about workplace bullying when it affirmed a lower court ruling against a doctor who verbally abused a hospital employee. (Raess v. Doerscher, 883 N.E.2d 790 (Ind. 2008).)
