WE ALL NEED A GOAL IN LIFE AND I WRITE THIS JUST DAYS before I attempt one of my latest goals; namely to cycle 200 miles in three days in support of a local charity, Parity for Disability, that provides services for children and young adults with multiple disabilities in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey.

However, I'm not just going to get on my bike and hope for the best! For the last three months I've been riding at least 100 miles per week in preparation and I have the saddle sores to prove it. One of the rides was with fire chiefs in support of the Fire Fighters Charity and this will live long in my mind due to one of them being pole axed by the security barrier as we left the car park.
