Month-to-Month Growth Sighted Among 20 Leading Titles

Our June ad-page data from IMS/The Media Audit has rolled in, and some hopeful trends became apparent when we compared slices of the 20 best-performing titles for the month (see "Top b2b Titles by % Ad-Page Gain, June," page 2) to overall stats for year-to-date (see "Top b2b Titles by % Ad-Page Gain, YTD," page 3). For the year, it still remains discouraging that only the top six b2b books are in positive territory at all. Nevertheless, the YTD average ad-page growth for the top 20 performers in b2b was at -1.60%, while in June the top 20 titles all showed positive growth, for a total average of +42.12% compared to June 2008.

Some anomalies push the June numbers up, to be sure.
