In my June 8 Eye on Advertising column ("It's Almost All About Digital-- But Not Completely"), I spoke to several advertisers and marketers who work with b2b magazine brands who told me they were scaling back their spend in print and shifting their dollars to other platforms. Shedding further light on this topic is a recent Outsell study, which found that a significant bulk of b2b advertisers and marketers who used to advertise regularly in trade publications are now redirecting their print budgets to various channels, with 17% of it now earmarked for events.
