When Woody Gontina and Timothy Risk set out to build a house and sell it, they were excited about the idea of being the first LEED-certified home in Oakland County.

But they didn't know about Art Roffey and Gail Danto - a husband and wife building a house six miles away and also seeking the certification.

Both Bloomfield Township projects are set to be completed in the first quarter of next year.
