More States Using NMLS

Connecticut, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Vermont have begun using the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, according to the Conference of State Bank Supervisors and the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators, the system's sponsors.

The above states join Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York, Rhode Island and Washington as active users of NMLS. To date, 42 state agencies representing 40 states have committed to participate.

A total of 19 states are scheduled to be using NMLS by the end of the year. To date, NMLS manages 5,145 companies,...
