Dear Brian,

We are entering the slower holiday season and needless to say, this has not been the best year. In fact I own a small shop and am truthfully barely hanging on. I never thought I would be writing this letter or sending it to you but you seem to have been through some tough times and are still doing well.

Here is my situation: I have a rather small 3,000-square-foot office with about seven loan officers, a receptionist, an assistant and a processor.

Business stinks! Actually it is worse than that. If it is OK with you I would like to withhold my name but I live in Missouri if that helps and have been in the business for about nine years.
