With a growing supply of hotels and the establishment of a new airport outside of the city, Bangalore--the epicenter of India's information technology industry and the site of mass corporate expansion--is expected to become more hospitable to the needs of the growing ranks of business travelers.

However, hotel supply has yet to approach equilibrium with demand, making rooms scarce and rates high. As such, the city's hotel market remains in the hands of suppliers, according to a study released last fall by hospitality consulting company HVS International.
