CS exec seeks internal-external travel balance.

Travel has been a regular part of the discussion lately at the monthly meeting of the management committee that runs Credit Suisse global investment bank operations, according to managing director Mark Rufeh. That's because the company has been working on a lot of travel initiatives, including finalizing global airline contracts and switching agencies to HRG Worldwide from American Express.

"The global heads of our fixed income, equities and investment banking business care a lot about travel," Rufeh said. "They want to spend money on that."

He is responsible for strategy implementation as well as overall expense management for the investment bank, one of the three large business divisions of Credit Suisse.
