The recent self-booking tool implementation at French telecommunications giant Alcatel confirms claims that corporate clients are hitting high adoption rates much sooner than was the case a few years ago. Alcatel introduced KDS to 10,000 French travelers at the end of 2005 and reached 30 percent adoption of all air bookings within a fortnight. That figure climbed to 45 percent by the end of the first month and 65 percent after five months.
