With a number of first-rate facilities and more in the works--including the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center--Malaysia is stepping tip its efforts to become a world-class corporate travel destination.

In addition to its hotel and convention centers, proponents of travel to Malaysia agreed that the weather, generous exchange rates and solid political climate make the southeast Asian nation a prime destination for large and small conventions and meetings.

"Malaysia has positioned itself to be a choice venue for meetings due to many favorable factors," said Normasila Musa, Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles vice president. "These include the country's overall safety, easy accessibility and modern infrastructure."
