Dec. 9--Accusing one of the nation's top electronics sellers of widespread race and gender discrimination, six female and minority employees sued Best Buy on Thursday, alleging they received lower pay than white males, were steered away from high-paying sales jobs and were denied promotions.

The lawsuit, which seeks national class action status, comes as the holiday retail season enters its final weeks.
