The idea that designers can be socially responsible often leads to a discussion about environmental concerns and the depth to which social consciousness can be raised becomes more apparent. With this in mind, Kendall College of Art and Design presented "Beyond Form and Function: Meeting Social Responsibility Through Design" a program that ran concurrently with NeoCon[R] in Chicago from June 12-15. The "class" for students from Kendall and Pratt Institute exposed the paths of practitioners, educators, artists, and corporate leaders leaving a mark on the social landscape of architecture and design.
