Sep. 1--Convenience stores with the best prices had the longest lines of vehicles Wednesday as folks rushed to beat the next price increase for gasoline.

Motorists paid $2.66.9 a gallon at the Sinclair Corner Store, 680 S. Phillips, until 2 p.m., when the price jumped to $2.99.9. Most Salina outlets posted prices just under $3 a gallon on Wednesday.
