Seizing an opportunity to redefine her company's travel expense management processes afforded by hotels' newfound ability to electronically transmit travelers' line-item expanse data, JohnsonDiversey accounts payable analyst of non-inventory payables Brenda Jackson has used such folio data to better compile expenditure figures, monitor policy compliance, ease the expense-filing process for travelers and potentially improve supplier negotiations--particularly as travelers begin to base hotel choice specifically on e-folio transmission ability.
JohnsonDiversey, a commercial cleaning supplies firm based in Sturtevant, Wis., was among the earliest adopters of 2004's folio-transmission breakthroughs, as several large hotel chains and corporate payment providers aligned to transmit such data directly to corporations. Jackson partnered with GE Capital, her MasterCard corporate card provider, and Outtask, which provides her Vinnet expense reporting system, to receive line-item data.
