Emirates, the Dubai based international airline of the United Arab Emirates, has made tremendous strides over the past year towards securing its position as one of the world's fastest growing airlines. Now flying to 65 destinations on 4 continents, Emirates has grown from a regional carrier to a global star. Having declared a net profit of $247.1 million for the 2002/2003 financial year (a 94 per cent increase in profits), Emirates earns the distinction of being one of the world's five most profitable airlines.

EMIRATES' EXPANSION

New passenger routes adding to Emirates' global expansion in 2003 are Auckland, Brisbane, Moscow, Shanghai and Lagos. Also in 2003, weekly frequencies across the network will increase at no fewer than 18 destinations. In 2002, new routes were launched to Casablanca, Khartoum, Mauritius, Perth, Osaka and Cochin.
