Many companies continue to struggle with the management of their travel programs due to the diverse issues often associated with business costs--rate structures, negotiated rates, last-minute bookings, geographically dispersed travelers and fluctuating travel patterns.

Today, this business challenge is further hindered by the current economic climate. Tighter budgets are prompting major changes to existing corporate travel and entertainment policies and many employees now are being encouraged to use self-service, in-house, Web-based booking tools and meeting planning software, rather than the corporate or personal booking agents of the past.
