Travelers to New York sometimes can feel overwhelmed when navigating the city's extensive transportation options, which include: taxis, car services, buses, subways, ferries, trains, a handful of heliports, three major airports, two major train stations--and a third in the making--and a brand new automated train connecting New York JFK with the city's subway system opening by year-end. Furthermore, a new transit hub to be built in lower Manhattan within the next three years will connect much of the disparate transportation downtown with initial services beginning next year connecting lower Manhattan to New York JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty international airports.
