Kropilak to Lead Growth at Utility.

Mark J. Kropilak was recently appointed as Vice President of Corporate Development at Philadelphia Suburban Corp. (PSC), one of the nation's largest investor-owned water utility companies. As he takes over the reins of the company's acquisition program, the 15-year company veteran will retain his legal responsibilities as Corporate Counsel.

PSC has pursued an acquisition strategy since the early 1990s, making more than 100 acquisitions, 80 of which were done in the last five years. It has been able to increase its annual customer growth rate by approximately 4% since 1995.

Kropilak says he plans to continue the company's strategy of growth by acquisition by continuing to look for municipal water and wastewater systems that PSC can buy.
