Learn how to use PowerPoint 2002, Microsoft's powerful presentation program (and part of the Microsoft Office XP Professional Suite). PowerPoint is one of the best presentation programs on the market today because it is easy to learn, packed with useful features, and fun to use.

In this class, you’ll learn how to create dazzling slide presentations filled with sounds and special effects, charts, outlines, graphs, media clips, and hypertext links. You’ll learn how to work with task panes and the clip organizer, and how to download clip art and templates from the Web to use in your presentations.

You’ll even learn how to save your presentations so that they can be viewed by anyone with access to the Internet and a Web browser.

The instructor will share with you her many years of teaching experience to provide you with valuable tips and keyboard shortcuts you’ll use time and again. She’ll also provide you with many links to web sites to broaden your knowledge of PowerPoint even further.

Instructor Biography:
Kathy Van Pelt has been involved in education for 19 years, teaching and assisting students with microcomputer application courses. She specializes in Microsoft programs, such as Office Suite and Windows. In addition, Kathy is a die-hard WordPerfect fan and can answer just about any WordPerfect question. Kathy has taught a variety of microcomputer application programs at a community college for the past 12 years, and before that taught word processing at a private business college for several years.

Lesson 2 Objective To learn the basics of planning a PowerPoint presentation; to learn how to create a presentation with the Auto-Content Wizard; and to become familiar with the PowerPoint window and the different ways to view a PowerPoint presentation.
Lesson 3 Syllabus Working with Tables and Borders
Lesson 3 Objective To learn how to create title slides and title and text slides from scratch; to learn how to create and edit slides on a slide and in an outline; to learn how to use a design template to add color to your presentation; to learn how to save a presentation; and to learn two ways to run a presentation.
Lesson 4 Syllabus Proofing and Printing a PowerPoint Presentation
Lesson 4 Objective To learn a variety of ways to open a saved presentation; to learn different ways to create table slides in Microsoft PowerPoint; to learn how to edit table slides; and to learn how to use the Tables and Borders toolbar to format your tables in PowerPoint.
Lesson 5 Syllabus Working with Images
Lesson 5 Objective To learn how to use the Spell Check feature to check your spelling and the Style Checker to check for consistency throughout a presentation.
