This free program, which comes pre-bundled with Microsoft Windows and is also widely available for download on the Internet, handles both e-mail and Internet newsgroups with ease. This course teaches you how to make the most of this application’s amazing abilities.
In this practical, hands-on course, you'll learn to compose, send, read, and organize your e-mail messages. You’ll then build upon those skills to find, read, and post to Internet newsgroups. With much of the learning curve behind you, you’ll then customize settings and choose options to increase your efficiency and pleasure using e-mail and newsgroups.
A patient instructor will help you discover how to filter out many of those unwanted messages, how to avoid e-mail-borne viruses, and how to route messages directly into custom folders that you specify. You will also find out how to modify the screen layout to fit the unique way that you work, and you'll be well equipped to use the Outlook Express Address Book as your contact manager. The list of skills that you’ll gain from this course goes on, but suffice it to say that by end of this course, you will have mastered Outlook Express.
