| Course Overview: |
A network for your home or business office makes a lot of sense because it allows you to easily and effortlessly share information and peripherals (such as printers, drives, and Internet connections). No matter what computer you use in your network, you will always have access to the information you need at hand. Windows XP makes it easy for you to connect computers together. But once you have Windows, where do you go from there?
This course shows you the ins and outs of building a home or small office network. We start with all the networking terms, and then use those terms to identify the hardware and software you need to build your network. Once you have everything you need, you'll learn how to install your networking hardware and how to configure Windows XP so your network computers can talk to each other. You'll discover the secret to properly configuring printers and other peripherals, and you'll learn how to manage and maintain your Windows XP network and keep it secure. |
