American Drama

A scholarly journal publishing original studies of American dramatic literature from colonial to contemporary times, with greater emphasis given to the period of the twentieth century to the present. Coverage includes critical examination of trends and discussions of diversity in scripts for stage, film, radio, and television; the careers of dramatists; and various theories of the development of drama. Occasional interviews are included and some issues are theme-oriented.
